Come and hear Haverhill Silver Band play on:

2013

Koperpoets Poster

7:30pm, 10th November 2013 - The KOPERPOETS come to town!

Haverhill Silver is very fortunate to be joined by Brass Superstars, Koperpoets from the Netherlands, in a light hearted evening of music (and drama!). You will, no doubt, have heard of Mnozil brass and these characters are the Dutch version of the same ilk. The stage is cleared, no chairs, no stands, no music. The show is more of an enactment than a concert - a fresh new approach to musical entertainment.

If you try to compare Brass Ensemble Koperpoets with a brass band, you would fail miserably. Comparing it with a choir is not a good idea either, nor is it anything like a medieval recorder ensemble. And yet, somehow, some of the elements keep popping up in the show. To make you even more curious, why is there a bass guitar amplifier on stage? What is that thing with the didgeridoo? Why is there a recorder in the dressing room? What are they doing with that saxophone? Brass Ensemble Koperpoets is fun to listen to and more importantly, to watch. Their next musical move is never what you expect, neither is the theatrical twist in it.

The ensemble tours the UK in November 2013 for the third time. More information can be found on their website: http://www.koperpoets.nl Curious? Come and watch their show!

The concert begins at 7:30pm (doors open at 7pm) in Haverhill Art Centre.

Tickets are available from Haverhill Arts Centre box office (Tel: 01440 714140) priced at £8 / £6 (concessions).

We look forward to seeing you there!
