Haverhill Silver Band WIN Crawley Entertainments Contest!

HSB are excited to announce that on Sunday 20th May they won SCABA 2012 Entertainments contest.

Conductor, Mark Ager put together a very cleverly structured programme that obviously hit the spot with adjudicator Dr Robert Childs. Drawn number one he was wowed with the opening fanfare piece "Fest Musik der Stadt Wien" which smoothly transitioned to Phillip Harper's, Blue Sleeve Step featuring both Principal Cornet, Tim Pannell, and Eb Bass, Paul Farr. Tim continued to shine in his solo "Flourish" which was followed by the quartet feature "Irish Blessing". To add a little lightheartedness to the programme the percussion feature "The Typewriter" was included and finally, to go out with a bang, "MacArthur Park" (also featured on our CD).
